Nepal Travel Protocol for COVID-19

COVID-19 has been known to each and every corner of the world and we all know how it has been affecting the lives of people. Nepal has been shut down since March 2020. A major trekking season has collapsed (March-May). Although, the country was locked down for almost 5 months Government has finally decided to run International Flights to bring stranded Nepali citizens abroad since the beginning of September.

At this moment, the government has decided to make an international flight available to travelers having Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) report Negative. There is still a dilemma with the quarantine system after the arrival but, the tourism industry has been pressurizing to skip the quarantine of 14 days with the availability of a fresh PCR report of 72 hours.

Nepal has already welcome Bahrain’s prince with 18 members for a mountain expedition. Comparing Nepal with many different affected countries, It is still a lot a safe place to Travel even during the pandemic situation.

As we all know COVID-19 will not end as quickly as it rose. People have been locked inside four walls since long and has mentally affected many. It is a difficult situation to jump back to Normal life and work as it was earlier. Safety protocol from Company side

  • Your Group will be below 15 Pax.
  • We do not combine groups. Each group will have specific guides and required staffs
  • A Disinfected vehicle will be brought to the airport for Pickup.
  • You are greeted with a Namaste (No handshake & hugs)
  • We will provide a reusable mask and a hand sanitizer.
  • Each group will have a separate disinfected vehicles to drop you to the Hotel.
  • Your group will be taken to the Hotel which has a proper COVID-19 safety measure.
  • Your group will be handed over to guide before the departure.
  • Your guide will be well trained for COVID-19 safety protocols.
  • Your team will have a specific first aid kit containing basic medication, masks, gloves, oximeter, and thermometer.
  • Your Health condition is measured daily (Fever & Heart Beat)
  • Your health reports are daily given to the company as well as the local health check post.
  • With any suspicious problems seen you are safely rescued and taken to isolation.

Travelers Protocol

  • You are requested to bring your mask’s own mask for your comfort.
  • You are requested to inform the guide upon any symptoms of illness is experienced.
  • You must have compulsory medical insurance with the inclusion of helicopter evacuation.
  • You are requested to maintain social distance besides your group members.
  • You are requested not to invite any member to the group upon meals (Tea, Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
  • You are requested not to providing any eatables such as chocolates, biscuits, pens, and papers to children on the trail.
  • You are requested to maintain social distance and put on a mask when talking with local people.
  • You are requested not to touch and stay in contact via your hands.
  • You are requested to wash your hands frequently with personal liquid soap/sanitizer.
  • You are requested not to enter local houses or shops without informing the guide during your free time or acclimatization day.
