Dhampus peak is situated in the Dhaulagiri  mountain region west then  Annapurna Himalayan range . Dhampus peak is one of the above 6000m peaks of Nepal but it is considered easy to climb in contrast to other above 6000m peaks of Nepal. It is also known as Thapa Peak (6012 m).
