Dhampus peak is one of the above 6000m peaks of Nepal but it is considered easy to climb in contrast to other above 6000m peaks of Nepal. It is also known as Thapa Peak (6012 m).     • Arrival at Kathmandu (1310m/4264ft.)

      On this day you will be landed at the Capital City of Nepal-Kathmandu (1300m/4265 ft). It is the only International Airport in Nepal. You will be received by Sherpa Himalaya Representative.

      Then with a brief introduction, you will be welcomed by flower Garland. You will be taken to your hotel where you can rest and freshen up to keep away Jet Lag. You will get a nearby location map from the hotel reception and you can explore around.

    • Trekking Preparation Day

      Today you will also be introduced to your respective Guide for Dhampus Peak Climb. If you have anything to buy for your trek then you can purchase it from the stores around. In the evening you will have to pack only the necessary and important items that you need during the Trek and the rest you can either store at Hotel or with Sherpa Himalaya.

      We recommend you use the company Duffel bag as there will be less chance of misplacing in an airport and easier to find in case of missing.

    • Day 03
    • Drive from Kathmandu to Beni 830m/ 2523ft via Pokhara

      As we finish our breakfast we will head towards Beni via Pokhara. You will be picked by your guide from the hotel.  Today will be a long day’s drive. Your total drive hour will be 9-10 hours until you arrive at Beni at 830 m. Beni is a small village where it is the junction of two rivers. It is also the district headquarter of Myagdi.

    • Day 04
    • Drive to Darbang 2-3 hours and trek to Dharapani 1360m / 4461 ft

      Your drive to Darbang starts at around 8 am after you finish your breakfast. Your drive will be 2-3 hours off-road. You will rest at Dharapani and have your lunch.

      You then slowly head towards Dharapani which will be a 3-4 hours trek. You will come across small villages of Manag community people and also cross a suspension bridge over Dajung Khola.

    • Trek from Dharapani to Muri (1850m.), 5/6 hours walk

      As usual with morning breakfast we start our trail towards Muri. Today your trek will be normal uphill through pine and juniper forest. You will cross small villages like Sibang, Phaliyagaon, and Dar to reach Muri. Today you will witness a view of Mt. Gurja and Mt. Dhaulagiri from the trail. Your trek will be 5-6 hours long.

    • Trek from Muri to Boghara (2080m / 6824 ft ), 5/6 hours walk

      Today your destination will be Boghara. Your trail will be passing through riverside formed from small streams such as the Mudi River, Chaari Khola, and more. The main River is well known as Myagdi Khola(River). You will also witness waterfalls and small villages. To the opposite side of Boghara there lies a small village called Jeltung, which was considered one of the most remote villages of Nepal.

    • Trek from Boghara to Dobang (2520m / 8267 ft), 5/6 hours walk

      With morning breakfast, you start your trek towards Dobang. Your trails get more challenging than previous days followed by more uphill. Today you will pass through a rocky trail and you will also encounter a natural hot spring.

      Today your trek will be 5-6 hours long following the Myagndi River.

    • Dobang to Choriban Khola (3445m/11302 ft), 4-5 hours wal

      Dobhan also a place where two glacial river meets. You leave Dobhan at around 8 am in the morning. Today your trek will be 4-5 hours long with normal uphill. Today you will pass through a small wooden bridge. Until you reach you will already cross almost 4 small bridges.

      Choriban / Chaur Bag Khola is a camp place near the river. Due to the higher elevation here you will witness thin forest with less strong stems.

    • Trek to Italian Base Camp (3660m.), 6/7 hours walk

      As you finish your breakfast you head towards Italian Base Camp. Your trek to reach Italian Base Camp will be 6-7 hours long. You will witness different base camps named after different countries as these were the places where different groups of different countries had made camp in early trail days. You will find Puchhar, American, Italian, Swiss, French, and Japanese Base Camp in ascending order from 3660m to 3890m range respectively.

    • Day 10
    • Acclimatization day

      Acclimatization is an Extra Day where you will be introduced to a new elevation but the overnight will be at the same spot. It is done so to keep your body familiar with the new environment and to escape from Altitude sickness.

      Acclimatization Day will play a vital role to prevent you from Altitude sickness. This day you can trek a little further to get a view of the Dhaulagiri range and trek back overnight.

    • Day 11
    • Trek from Italian Base Camp to Japanese Camp 3890m

      On the 11th day of Dampus Peak climb trek, as you finish your breakfast we will start the trek towards Japanese Camp. After around 2 hour trek you will reach French Camp. With some little power-up snacks, we will climb 1 and half hours more which takes us to our overnight destination which is Japanese Camp. Today your total trek hour today will be 3.5 to 4 hours.

    • Trek to Dhaulagiri Base Camp 4278m from Japanese Camp. 4-5 hours Trek

      Today you head towards Dhaulagiri Base Camp elevated at 4278m. This day you will pass along through glaciers and also the viewpoint that gives you a beautiful view of Tukuche Peak 6848m. After a few hours of climb, you will be at the base of Mt. Dhaulagiri 4748m.

      An amazing view of Mt. Dhaulagiri I, II, IV can be seen right in front. Today your total climb will be 4-5 hours trek.

    • Day 13
    • Acclimatization day

      After two days of hard climb of around 1100m starting from Italian Camp to  Dhaulagiri Base Camp you will have an extra free day as well as acclimatization day here.

      This free day will help you to acclimatize your body to the higher elevation that you are exposed to.

    • Trek to Hidden Valley through French Pass (5360m.), 6/7 hours walk

      After an extra day off with all new fresh energy, we start climbing towards French Pass and climb down to Hidden Valley.  Today will be a hard climb until the french pass summit. French Pass summit has an elevation of  5360m. From the pass, you will have a beautiful view of Tukuche West, Dhaulagiri I, Mukut Himal, Tashi Kang, and Sita Chuchura. It takes normally 5 hours to complete the french pass and 3-4 hours to reach down to Hidden Valley which has an elevation of 5140m.

      Your total trek hour today will be 8-9 hours trek.

    • Trek to Thapa peak crossing Dhampus Pass 4/5 hours walk

      Another day to climb another pass of 5244m. This day you will be crossing Dhampus Pass and head to Thapa Peak / Dhampus Peak Base Camp.

      You will require 2.5 hours to reach the top of the pass and 2 extra hours to reach the base camp.  Today your total trek hour will be 4-5 hours.
