Trip Introduction
Larke Peak is located in the Manaslu range of mountains in the Gorkha district of Nepal. Mt Larke Peak is a rarely climbed peak and permits have only been issued to climb Larke Peak since 2002. Larke Peak is rarely climbed trekking peaks of Nepal, open for climbing under Mountaineering Association of Nepal. The height of Larke peak is 6249m.
The main attraction of Larkya peak is panoramic views of Himalayan peaks like Manaslu, Himlung Himal, Ganesh Himal, Annapurna, and other Tibetan mountain ranges etc. Larke peak climbing journey continues passing through many villages of the Tibetan origin. Tibetan villages offer an opportunity to explore their customs cultures and lifestyle, etc.

Day 01

Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu.
On this day you will be landed at the Capital City of Nepal-Kathmandu (1300m/4265 ft). It is the only International Airport in Nepal. You will be received by Sherpa Himalaya Representative.
Then with a brief introduction, you will be welcomed by flower Garland. You will be taken to your hotel where you can rest and freshen up to keep away Jet Lag. You will get a nearby location map from the hotel reception and you can explore around.

Day 02

Preparation of the trip for Larke Peak Climbing
Today you will also be introduced to your respective Guide and Climber for Larke Peak. If you have anything to buy for your trek then you can purchase from the stores around. In the evening you will have to pack only the necessary and important items that you need during the Trek and rest you can either store at Hotel or with Sherpa Himalaya.
We recommend you use the company Duffel bag as there will be less chance of misplacing in an airport and easier to find in case of missing.

Day 03
-
Drive from Kathmandu to Machha Khola[900m/2328 feet], 9-10 hours
Today, we will head toward Machha khola by drive. Your drive will be around 7-8 hours. The road up to Dhading Besi is pretty normal but, as you head towards Machhakhola you will face off roads with bumpy tracks for 4-5 hours.

Day 04

Trek from Machha Khola to Jagat (1350m.) takes about six hours.
As of the previous day, we will have a similar time of Trek which will be between 6-7 hours. Today our camp elevation will be increased by 400m + elevation.
We will head towards Jagat as we finish our powerful breakfast. Our trail will be along the river and normal forest. Today you will also go by a natural Hotspring named Tatopani.

Day 05

Trek from Jagat to Deng (2095m.) takes about 7 and half hours.
The trek goes tougher with an increase in altitude. Today we will Trek to a destination having 1804 m elevation. Today’s destination will be Deng. We will climb up the terraced hill. As we catch a bit height you will also have a beautiful view of Sringi Himala (7,177 m).
Our trails will be between gorge. We will head towards Sirish village following with bamboo forest. After continuous Trek of 6-7 hours, we will reach today’s destination Deng.

Day 06

Trek from Deng to Namrung (2900m.) takes about ve hours.
Namrung is a small village located at 2630 m. The trails are similar to more uphill. As the altitude increases, you will observe variation and diversity in flora and fauna. The forest level decreases as you head higher.
After a continuous walk of around 4 hours you will reach Namrung.

Day 07

Trek from Namrung to Samagaon [3530m/11,578 feet, 6-7 hours
Today we will cross a river known as Hinan river. Hinan is formed by the Linda Glacier. You will have a beautiful view of Naike Peak, Manaslu North(7,774m) and Manaslu (8,150m).
As we head ahead we will reach a small village known as Lho Gaon, from where you will get a breathtaking view of Mt. Manaslu. You will also find a very old monastery Ribung Gompa.

Day 08

Acclimatization day: Samagaon - Pungyen gompa – Samagaon, 6 - 7 hours exploration
Today is an acclimatization day. On this day we will Trek high and sleep low which will help us to prevent from Altitude sickness. We will explore nearby villages and also visit Pungyen gompa and Glacial Lake is known as Birendra Tal. It will take 4-5 hours hike to reach here.

Day 09

Trek from Samagaon to Samdo (3690m.) takes about four hours
Today we will have a normal trek which will be around 5 hours. Our today’s destination is Samdo.
We will climb uphill leaving Budi Gandaki River behind.

Day 10

Samdo to Dharamsala Larke Phedi (4460m) Duration: 4-5 hours.
A relatively short day sees us descending through fields prior to starting our climb towards the Larkya-La Pass, a trek offering dazzling views of Manaslu and the Syacha Glacier, and a likelihood of spotting Himalayan blue sheep on your trek to Dharamsala (4480m). This is as high as we go today without risking altitude sickness. This is the last safe haven before reaching the pass. This sector of the trek is often subject to snowfall and from mid-December to mid-March, when snow blocks the Larkya-La Pass.

Trek from dharmasala to Larke Peak Base Camp (5135m) Duration: 4-5 hours.
oday we have a short four to five-hour walk to Larke Peak Base Camp where we will stay overnight. It is this progressive climbing in small increments that helps you to overcome altitude sickness.

Day 12

Day 12 & 13 - Climbing period and preparation.
Before the actual climb your guide will prepare you by going over safety procedures and the use of roping techniques. The prevailing weather conditions will greatly influence the climb to the peak. However, it is in your best interests that you are prepared for any eventuality. Your day on the peak will be the highlight of this trek. The physical exertion on getting to the peak will be rewarded by some of the most jaw-dropping views of the surrounding peaks. These memories will stay with you for a lifetime.

Day 14

Trek from Larke Peak Base Camp to Bimtang (3800m), 5-6 hours walk down.
Today we descend to Bimtang, a well known trading post along the Tibetan salt route. An appealing detour leads to a trail above Bimtang to the translucent glacial lake of Pungkar Tal (4100m). We will stay overnight at Bimtang. Breakfast, lunch & dinner included.

Trek from Bimthang to Tilije [2300m/7544feet], 5 - 6 hours
As we reach Bimthang we will start our Trek back. Today we will trek to Tilije. The trails go easier down and again will encounter more greenery and forest.

Trek from Telije to Dharapani and same day Drive to kathmandu via Besishahar
Today morning as you finish your breakfast and Trek to Dharapani one hours you will be picked by vehicle and drive to Kathmandu Via Besishahr.
You will be traveling back to Kathmandu with a beautiful experience and taking all those beautiful memories captured with you.
You will arrive at Kathmandu in the evening.

Free Day in Kathmandu
As mentioned above this day is specially programmed to recover if the Lukla- Kathmandu flights get delayed due to uncertain change in weather.
With timely arrival, you can Explore the Thamel market and shop for your family. You can also make a short city tour to explore some World Heritage Site.
You will be invited for the Last farewell dinner with Sherpa Himalaya Executive.

Final departure
Today morning you Sherpa Himalaya representative will be there at your hotel for the last meet. You will be dropped at the airport considering airport time.
Sherpa Himalaya will thank you for an amazing time together and handover Buddhist Scarf (Kha-tak) which symbolizes peace, prosperity, Long life and Harmony to everyone and a certificate for your completion of Larke Peak with Sherpa Himalaya.
