    • Tumlingtar (518m) to Marduna (1200m, 5-6 hours) trekking
    • Day 05
    • Trek from Marduna to Phedi (1675m) 6-7 hours.

    • Salpa Phedi to Guranse (2920m) about 5 hours trekking
    • Day 07
    • Trek from Guranse to Sanam (2650m, 5 hours) trekking.

    • Trek from Sanam to Bung (1900m),5-6 hours.

Best Time to Travel

For those planning the Arun Valley Trek, it's advisable to travel between March and May or September and November when the weather is mild and visibility is optimal.
    • Day 01
    • Arrive in Kathmandu airport(1300m)

      On this day you will be landed at the Capital City of Nepal-Kathmandu (1300m/4265 ft). It is the only International Airport of Nepal. You will be received by Sherpa Himalaya Representative.

      Then with a brief introduction you will be welcomed by flower Garland. You will be Taken to your Hotel where you can rest and freshen up to keep away Jet Lag. You will get a nearby location map from hotel reception and you can explore around.

    • Day 02
    • Trek Preparation in Kathmandu

      Today you will also be introduced to your respective Guide for Arun Valley Trek. If you have anything to buy for your trek then you can purchase it from the stores around. In the evening you will have to pack only the necessary and important items that you need during the Trek and the rest you can either store at Hotel or with Sherpa Himalaya.

      We recommend you use the company Duffel bag as there will be less chance of misplacing in an airport and easier to find in case of missing.

    • Day 03
    • Flight from Kathmandu to Tumlingtar (518m)

      Today you will need to wake up early in the morning. You will be notified by Sherpa Himalaya about the time. You will be received by a private vehicle and dropped at to Airport together with the Guide. You will have a very amazing Flight to Tumlingtar from Kathmandu. You will witness very beautiful villages and Aerial view of Himalayan ranges around. With clear weather, you will have a clear idea about the Landscape of the Hilly and Himalayan region.

    • Day 04
    • Tumlingtar (518m) to Marduna (1200m, 5-6 hours) trekking

      Today will be the first day of your Trek. You will have breakfast in the morning and the trek starts before 8 am which will be a daily routine until the end of this Trek. Your trails start through small villages, rice terraces, meadows, and small bridges. You will encounter Sal trees throughout the day.

      Today you will have a 5-6 hours Walk.

      Overnight at Marduna

    • Day 05
    • Trek from Marduna to Phedi (1675m) 6-7 hours.

      Your trails start after your breakfast. Today will be a long walk. Your today’s destination is Phedi. The trails are uphill passing over the suspension bridge and meeting the Irkhuwa River.

      Crossing small villages and trek through the terrace farmed lands and trek towards Phedi. Your Trek will be a 6-7 hours walk.

    • Salpa Phedi to Guranse (2920m) about 5 hours trekking

      As you finish your breakfast your trek starts with an ascending trail. You will trek between oak, sal, birch, and rhododendron mixed forest.  Guranse is a small place covered with mostly rhododendron forest and during the spring this place becomes a very attractive location. You will have 5-6 hours of walk.

    • Day 07
    • Trek from Guranse to Sanam (2650m, 5 hours) trekking.

      Your trail is more beautiful today. Today you will be introduced to a holy pond in the area called Salpa Pokhari. This pond is worshipped by Hindu people during the full moon day of October. You will witness the richness in flora and fauna. You can have a view of Mt. MAKALU (8463 m) and Mt, Chamlang (7321 m). Your trial goes ascends through the Rhododendron forest and with the continuous climb you reach a hillside village called Sanam.

    • Day 08
    • Trek from Sanam to Bung (1900m),5-6 hours.

      As usual, after you finish your breakfast, your trek starts. Today your destination will be Bung. The whole trail is to experience the lifestyle of Nepali people rather than reaching the base of great mountains nor to climb.

      You will learn about the vegetation, flora-fauna, and true lifestyle of Nepali people differently in every village. Descending through oak and pine forest you cross the small village of Sherpa and Rai community people. You will also encounter a suspension bridge over the Hinku River.

    • Day 09
    • Bung to Boskam Gompa- 4 hours

      Today after you finish your breakfast you will descend down towards Boksam Gompa or Gai Kharka. You will pass along the bamboo forest and reach a village called Najingdhinma. Wide grazing land for cattle and also a perfect camping place. We will further walk and head towards Boksam Gompa. A village mixed of Rai and Sherpa community people.

    • Day 10
    • Trek from Boska, to Vasme 5-6 Hours

      Today you will descend towards Vasme. Your trail will be a combination of both ascends and descends. You will find yourself walking along with Hinku river. Today you will also have a view of Mera peak (6476 m) and some sight of the Khumbu region. Today your trek will be 5-6 hours long.

    • Trek from Vasne to Panggom (2804 m ) 5-6 hours

      Today the trail climbs towards Pangom la. It is one of the ridges of Pangom which has an elevation of 3174m. From the pass you will have a view of Mt. Mera 6476m, Mt.Kangtega 6685m, Kusung Kanguru 6367m, and other different peaks at distance. Crossing the pass you descend down and reach a beautiful Sherpa Village called Panggom.

      Overnight at Panggom

    • Day 12
    • Pangom to Paiya 2800m (5-6 hours)

      After you finish your breakfast your climb starts towards Paiya. The trails are covered with Rhododendron and Pine forest. You will pass over Kari La 3145m which introduces you to Mt. Kusum Kanguru 6367m, Mt. Kangtega 6685m, and Mt. Thamserku 6685m. With a continuous walk of both ascend and descend you encounter Paiya Khola, crossing the river and a few more trek you reach Paiya.

      Overnight at Paiya

    • Day 13
    • Trek from Paiya to Lukla (2800m) 5-6 hours

      Your ascend trail continues. Today you will again be at top of another ridge called Chutok La 2945m.  Crossing the ridge you descend down through small monasteries, Sherpa villages, and streams you will arrive in Lukla after 5-6 hours of trek. Today is also the last day of the trek and the last meet with the staff. We have dinner together and meet and greet each other a farewell.

    • Flight form Lukla to Kathmandu

      Today we will fly from Lukla to Kathmandu. You will be picked by the Sherpa Himalaya representative and dropped at Hotel.

      After this beautiful and adventurous Arun Valley Trek, you can have a proper rest at your hotel. An extra free day is programmed by Sherpa Himalaya. A free day is kept to recover if in case the flight gets delayed.

      On timely arrival to Kathmandu, you can use the free day as a day to explore and shop for your family, or else you can also make a short city tour.

    • Free Day in Kathmandu

      As mentioned above this day is specially programmed to recover if the Lukla- Kathmandu flights get delayed due to uncertain changes in weather.</p>

      With time

      ly arrival, you can Explore the Thamel market and shop for your family. You can also make a short city tour to explore some World Heritage Site.

      You will be invited for the Last farewell dinner with Sherpa Himalaya Executive.

    • Day 16
    • Final Departure

      Today morning your Sherpa Himalaya representative will be there at your hotel for the last meet. You will be dropped at the airport considering airport time.</p>

      Sherpa Himalaya will thank you for an amazing time together and handover Buddhist Scarf (Kha-tak) which symbolizes peace, prosperity, Long life, and Harmony to everyone, and a certificate for your completion of Arun Valley Trek with Sherpa Himalaya.
