Trip Overview

Mt. Himlung is located in the Northern East of Annapurna Range having an elevation of 7,126 m. Mt. Himlung is of of the secluded(hidden) mountain, Making border with Tibet. Mt. Himlung is also consider as a Technical Mountain to climb. Similarly, this expedition gives you a round trip of Annapurna towards Koto and reaching Nar Phu from Koto.

In addition, this expedition offers you amazing glaciers, springs and tall peaks. You will discover remote villages full of rare tradition and culture with their different lifestyle.  You will have breathtaking view of many mountains which includes Mountains like Api Himal, Nandadevi Himal, Kappa Chuli Peak and a lot more.

Likewise, The Base Camp is situated at an elevation of 4900 m above the sea level. On this Expedition you will be having high three camps. The first High Camp is elevated at an altitude if 5450 m, second at 6000 m and similarly, the last one is at 6350 m. Despite of having steep and icy way after the third high camp, the summit is conquered by most. The normal time period for this expedition is of 10-13 days from Base Camp and back to base camp after summit.

Outline Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu(1400 m) and Transfer to Hotel.

Day 02: Preparation Day for Expedition and briefing program same day.

Day 03: Dive from Kathmandu to Besisahar (760 m)- private vehicle.

Day 04: Drive from Besisahar to Koto (2600m) by Jeep

Day 05: Trek from Koto to Meta (3560 m)

Day 06: Trek from Meta to Kyang (3840 m)

Day 07: Trek from Kyang to Phu Gaun (3900m)

Day 08: Acclimatization Day in Phu Gaun.

Day 09: Trek fro Phu Gaun to Himlung Base Camp (4900 m)

Day 10- Day 23: Climbing Period- Base Camp to Himlung Summit(7126 m) and back to Base Camp

Day 24: Trek from Base Camp to Phu Gaun

Day 25: Trek from Phu Gaun to Meta(3560 m)

Day 26: Trek from Meta to Koto (2600 m)

Day 27: Trek from Koto to Besisahar(760m) by Jeep

Day 28:Drive from Besisahar to Kathmandu& Transfer back to Hotel

Day 29: Free Day in Kathmandu.

Accommodations

As you are picked from Tribhuwan International  Airpot, Kathmandu you will be accommodated in a three-star level Hotel with Bed and Breakfast.  We accommodate on the basis of twin shared room. A single room can be also accommodated upon your request. Your room will be facilitated with attached restrooms in the Kathmandu. During the Trekking premises, in some places, they only have a shared washroom and restroom. As you reach higher elevation single rooms may be difficult to manage.

Meals

During our Trek Authentic Nepali food is available and more common. You will also get international Cuisine such as Continental, Italian, Indian, etc. Breakfast-Dinner will be served as per lodge menu where we stay overnight. Lunch will be served on the trail of Next destination. During Trek, all meals will be provided whereas, only breakfast is served in Kathmandu. Sherpa Himalaya will serve you special last day dinner.

 

Best Time to Climb

Weather in Nepal is quite a favorable. For trekking we have two peak season; Spring & Autumn. Autumn season starts from September to November whereas Spring season starts from March to May. Beside this two season, you can make Climb in Nepal in other months too but it is quite cold in January and rainy in the month of July & August.

 

Climbing

We will provide an experienced Climbing guide having fluency in English or any other language. 1 Climbing Sherpa Guide is entitled to every 3 members and 1 porter as per required. In every group, 1 Climbing guide is provided whereas Climbing Sherpa guide (assistant) is provided as per the size of the group. The proper management of Sherpa guides help in safety and make convenient while climbing. Even though if any member gets sick on the way to peak it will not affect the whole team and the rest team can successfully reach the peak.

Climbing individual Gears

When it comes to summit a Peak; Climbing Gears plays a very vital role and it is very important. It is the main thing that helps you to determine whether you can make the peak success or not. Proper quality to Gears makes you very easy in climbing whereas it also helps you stay away from cold and prevents frostbite and other problems.

Fixed rope, Tent, Kitchen stuff, Main rope, Snow bar, Ice screw, Rock pittan, and Ice hammer, etc are the gear which is provided by the Company.

Climbing boot, Crampons, Harness (safety belt),  sunglasses, Jumar, Figure of eight, Helmet, Ice axe, Carabiner (2 lock/ 2 unlock), Gloves, Windproof Gortex,  Sleeping Bag Jackets, Pants, Water bottles, Thermos, Sun cream, Hat, Down jackets, Inner thermal coat, some prusik, warm Socks (New), water bottle, Tape slings (2)

Your health safety and last destination with high-quality service is our Main priority. Your guide has the authority to bring change in itinerary, stop or cancel any part of your itinerary if it is very necessary due to safety concern. However, these kinds of problem rarely arise. Our effort will be to follow our given itinerary. Weather condition, health problem or any natural disaster and flight cancellation due to bad weather in the mountain may bring change in itinerary.
