COVID-19 Protocols tourist must follow to come to Nepal

With the update provided by leading news companies, the Prime Minister and tourism minister had a meeting with the conclusion of waiving 7 days quarantine but with the protocols updated by Trekking Agency’s Association of Nepal (TAAN) on 16th October is was not declared.
Here are the protocols that a traveler must follow in order to come Nepal. The criterion is issued by the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation.
1.International Tourists must obtain a Nepal visa before coming to Nepal. In the case of failure of getting Nepal’s Visa one must come with prior approval of the Trekking company based in Nepal. With the request made from the trekking company, it will be forwarded to the Department of Tourism and Department of immigration through the Nepal Tourism Board for the approval of Visa. The concerned trekking company will be informed for further information.
2. (Regarding point 1) The Department of Immigration will make arrangements to provide visas to recommended tourists at the relevant immigration point.
3. Before entering Nepal, Tourist must submit the following documents at the relevant immigration point:
a) Negative PCR(Polymerase Chain Reaction) not exceeding 72 hours.
b) Nepal’s Visa or prior approval documents for coming to Nepal.
c) Documents booked for hotels in Nepal to stay quarantined for at least seven days. You can receive the document either by direct booking to the hotel or else with the request for the company once you confirm your trip booking with a specific agency.
d) Insurance documents worth at least USD $ 5000 Per person for related purposes.
4. After entering Nepal, Tourist must stay quarantined in hotel for minimum 7 Days.
5. On 5th day of quarantine tourist must go with PCR test at his/ her own expense. Only with negative report one can start the trip after the 7th Day.
6. Upon the positive PCR report , tourist
must stay quarantined until the corona test report is negative.
