This journey alters once trekkers return to Dzongla via Lobuche after successfully reaching the Everest Base Camp (5364 m) and Kalapathar (5545 m). Dzongla is at the crossroads of Lobuche Peak Climbing in Nepal and Gokyo Valley via Chola Pass (5420 m). Walking beside large icy Lake of Cholatsho with Mt. Cholatse on the backdrop is really a challenging thing to do. The snow covered trails take trekkers all the way up to the top of Chola. Gaze at mountains like Choyou, Cholatse, Makalu, Amadablam and many others from the top. Take pictures for memories that you have conquered one the three most popular high altitude pass of the Everest region in Nepal. Descend further and walk through the Nogzumba Glacier via Thagnak. You will be rewarded with a scenic view of blue turquoise Lake of Gokyo having calming influence of teahouse/lodge village at its shore. Hike the Gokyo Ri (5357 m) for marvelous sunrise view in the Himalayan pinnacles. It is said that Gokyo Ri and Renjo La Pass top are the two best destinations to savor delightful mountain vistas of all Khumbu region. Journey then heads back to Lukla via Namche Bazaar and Dole. During your return trip, the journey becomes more memorable as altitude decreases you will start to enjoy the past memories and present wonders of nature on either side of the trail.

As you are picked from Tribhuwan International  Airpot, Kathmandu you will be accommodated in a three-star level Hotel with Bed and Breakfast.  We accommodate on the basis of twin shared room. A single room can be also accommodated upon your request. Your room will be facilitated with attached restrooms in the Kathmandu. During the Trekking premises, in some places, they only have a shared washroom and restroom. As you reach higher elevation single rooms may be difficult to manage.


During our Trek Authentic Nepali food is available and more common. You will also get international Cuisine such as Continental, Italian, Indian, etc. Breakfast-Dinner will be served as per lodge menu where we stay overnight. Lunch will be served on the trail of Next destination. During Trek, all meals will be provided whereas, only breakfast is served in Kathmandu. Sherpa Himalaya will serve you special last day dinner.

Health Condition and fitness required

This Trek is a moderate level Trek. You will be walking for 6-7 hour a day on average. We will face the steep hill, cross steep, hilly terrain etc.  We will be heading mostly uphill where we will face an average of 4000m altitude change. You will be given acclimatization day in between the trail so that you will not face altitude sickness. If you have strong determination and hope in yourself then Everest Base Camp + Chola Pass and  Gokyo Lake Trek will not be that difficult.

If you have done any Trek before it will be your skill but you don’t require pre-experience or any training for this Trek. If you have any health problems it would be better if you consult with a doctor before your visit and give the details to Sherpa Himalaya so that we could customize your trip as per your body requirement.

Best Time to Visit

Weather in Nepal is quite a favorable. For trekking we have two peak season; Spring & Autumn. Autumn season starts from September to November whereas Spring season starts from March to May. Beside this two season, you can visit Nepal in other months too but it is quite cold in January and rainy in the month of July & August.


Your health safety and last destination with high-quality service is our Main priority. Your Guide has the authority to bring change in itinerary, stop or cancel any part of your itinerary if it is very necessary due to safety concern. However, these kinds of problem rarely arise. Our effort will be to follow our given itinerary. Weather condition, health problem or any natural disaster and flight cancellation due to bad weather in the mountain may bring change in itinerary.


Details Itinerary

As you arrive to TIA Airport, Nepal you will be received by Sherpa Himalayan representative and you will be taken to three star hotel in Kathmandu. You will have facility of bed and breakfast.
Today we will prepare for our Trek. We will check all the necessary gears and introduction with your Guide. You will be taken to shop If you have forgotten any gear that will be requiring in the Trek
The early morning we will take a flight to lukla airpot; The gateway of Everest Region. This flight will be one of the most memorable flight throughout the journey. You will be able to see many amazing landscape and mountains of Nepal including some from Tibet. As we reach Lukla we will start our Trek to Phakdhing. This will be of 4-5 hour of Trek. Untill you reach Phakdhing, on the way; from Cheplung you will be able to see Mt. Khumbila. A mountain that has never been climbed. Overnight at Phakdhing
As we finish our breakfast we will move ahead towards Namche Bazaar. One of the most famous town in Everest Region. We will be passing through Dudh Koshi river and through the pine trees. You will also encounter exciting suspension bridge and if weather supports You will be able to see first sight of Mt. Everest And Mt. Lhotse. This Night we will be staying at Namche Bazaar.
Acclimatization day means rest at same altitude so that your body will be familiar to the altitude and climate so that you will not face altitude problem on this Day. There are lot thing to do this day in this Small Town. You will find many small tibetan markets, museum, etc. This Day we can also hike a little more up to get amazing view of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kongde and so on. We will come back to Namche and overnight stay at Namche Bazaar
This Day we will go across the height of Namche Bazaar. on this Trail views of Everest and Ama Dablam will be amazing. As earlier days we will be passing through pine forest. After some hours of Trek as we reach Tengboche; One of the oldest monastery in Khumbhu Region you will have magnificent sceneries. Kwangde (6187m), Tawachee (6542m), Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse (8501m), Amadablam, Kantega and Thamserku provide an inspiring panorama as the Himalayan giants.
We descend through a beautiful forest then cross the Imja Khola and trek through the village of Pangboche. The route continues through summer pastures to Dingboche. We will spend the night at Dingboche.
This Day we will trek up to Chhukung. This Short Trek will be definately easy. Mt. Amadablam view is the best from Chhukung. The view from Chhukung and further up the valley on the moraines towards Island Peak is tremendous. To the south-west, the eastern face of Amadablam provides an unusual view of this peak
We will begin our trek to reach Lobujhe. Dugla will be our lunch point which is below Khumbu glacier. Our trail will be along the glacier track and we will reach Lobuje shortly. Overnight stay at Lobuje.
A small ascent will take us to Thangma Riju from where we will experience 360 degree vista of glorious snowy mountains around us. After climbing steeply up to the top through Changri Glacier, we will have our first glimpse of Kala Patthar, a famous grey-green knoll just beneath the Mt. Pumori. Kala Pathhar is a well-known name among trekkers and tourist. After we reach Gorak Shep, we will witness snow-capped behemoth mountains glowing and shining all around us including the roof of the world - Mt. Everest (Sagarmatha). After having lunch at Gorak Shep we will head forward towards Everest Base camp. We will really appreciate the Everest climbers who are brave to endure hazardous route through the Khumbu icefall. We can view mountains like Nuptse, Khumbuste and Pumori from the base camp but Everest is not visible from here.

As sunset view is breathe taking and much more spectacular than sunrise, we encourage trekkers to descend down to Kala Patthar. For those trekkers who wish to continue to Kala Patthar, we will arrange guides and Sherpas as per necessity and remaining trekkers and sherpas can set up camps at Gorak Shep. Overnight at Gorak Shep.
We will start the 1.5 hour’s hike to Kalapathar early in the morning to get sunrise over the Everest and other mountain. We spend some time enjoying the sunrise on the splendid Himalayan ranges, relishing in a unique view and experience and head back to Gorekshep breakfast then continue to Dzolgla. From Gorekshep -Lobuche takes about 2 hours and another 2 hours hike will take us to Dzongla from Lobuche.
Early morning after breakfast, we start our walk from Dzongla to the Cho-la pass. The walk over the glacier is an enjoyable experience if we can make the trip during the best season otherwise excess snow makes it impossible to cross the pass. As the darkness returns we trek down to Thangnak to spend the night there.
It will take 2-3 hours to reach Gokyo. Our Lunch will be at Gokyo. Wewill explore the Gokyo this day and we can also visit the glaciers and turquoise lakes of the Gokyo valley.
The upwards trek is quite a feat to Gokyo RI. As we know best view comes after the hardesst clime; it is not that hard to. the views of the Gokyo valley, the Ngozumpa glacier and a panoramic scene of the Khumbu Himalayan giants will be one of the most amazing views you will see. As we enjoy this beautiful views we will trek down to Dole where we spend the night.
As we descend down for around 6 hours we will reach Namche Bazaar.Passing below Mt. Amadablang we will come Namche via Khumjung Village. We will stay overnight at Lukla.
After walking down for around 5-6 hours we will reach Lukla. This day will be last night of Trek so we will celebrate with Guide and other staffs together.
The early next morning we will fly back to Kathmandu. We will drop you to Hotel and you can have rest this Day.
This Day is specially created for safety! if the weather dont support our flight then we can use this day so that our Departure date will not be effected. You can use this day for shopping and so on. This night you will be invited by Sherpa Himalaya for Dinner.
This will be your last day.If you have scheduled your depart date from Kathmandu. We will drop you to TIA Airport and wave good bye to each other with lots of photos and memories
